A Candidate may retake a failed exam by using another voucher, retake voucher, or exams from a testing center site license. Certiport Centers shall enforce, and certification candidates shall observe, the following retake policy:

1. Candidate may retake the same exam a maximum of two times on the same day.
2. If the candidate fails the second attempt, he/she will not be allowed to retake the exam for a third time for two calendar days.
3. If the candidate fails the exam on the third and fourth attempt, he/she will again have to wait two additional calendar days before a fifth attempt.
4. Retake vouchers must be used within 30 days of the initial failed exam.
5. If a retake was purchased, the retake voucher is sent by email after a failed exam.

The retake policy for the Microsoft MTA program differs from the general retake policy shown above. For specific details please refer to www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/exam-policies.aspx.
